This program is for new dancers ages 16 and up, as well as dancers with experience ages 19 and up.
Dancers new to ballet should start in Beginning Adult Ballet. This is also a great class for dancers who have been out of ballet for a while and want a low key way to regain their strength and technique, as well as dancers new to the Cecchetti Method who would benefit from an easier class while adapting to the style specific elements of the method.
Dancers with experience should contact the studio to discuss their previous ballet experience in order to find the best fit.
All classes in this program run for a full dance season (September through May) and perform in the annual Spring Recital.
Recital participation is optional for dancers in Beginning Adult Ballet. It is expected that all dancers in Intermediate or Advanced Adult Ballet participate in the spring recital unless they discuss an exception with Miss Zachari in advance.

Beginning Adult Ballet (age 16+)
Beginning Adult Ballet combines steps and patterns from the Ballet 1, 2 and 3 technique classes. As adults, all dancers create their own goals for the class based on what they are hoping to gain from it (increased flexibility and balance, exercise, an understanding of the art of ballet, or the ability to move into higher level classes). As the year progresses, the class is tailored to the registered dancers. This can mean, for example, that more time may be spent on stretching, or that the class learns a dance to perform in the spring recital. [$330 per year, + recital and costume fee]
Ballet 4 Beginning (age 13 to 18)
Ballet 4 Beginning is for teen dancers who have successfully completed Beginning Adult Ballet and are ready to fit into the "Technique and Performance Class" progression. This class will also include dancers who have successfully mastered Ballet 3. Please see our dance progression page for more information. [$330 per year, + recital and costume fee]
Intermediate Adult Ballet (age 18+)
Intermediate Adult Ballet combines patterns from Ballet 4 Beginning and Ballet 4 Advanced in our Technique and Performance progression. This class is intended for dancers with previous ballet experience, so instructor approval is required to join. For dancers new to the studio, a trial day is available to see if this class is a good fit. This class participates in the annual spring recital. [$330 per year, + recital and costume fee]
Ballet 4 Advanced and Ballet 5 (age 14+)
Dancers who have successfully mastered the technique and patterns of Intermediate Adult Ballet are invited to join the studio's "Technique and Performance" classes for Ballet 4 Advanced and higher. Once a dancer starts these classes, they will follow the same requirements for goals and mastery as the other technique students. Dancers who have followed this class progression through high school graduation and wish to remain at the studio may continue with this progression, or switch to the Adult Ballet program based on their personal goals. Please see our dance progression page for more information. [$330 per year, + recital and costume fee]
Dancers with a large amount of ballet experience who want to join Ballet 4 Advanced or higher without taking a class in the Adult Ballet program first should set up a day to try out classes at the studio to find the best fit.

For dancers new to the studio, a trial day is available to see if this class is a good fit. This class participates in the annual spring recital. [$330 per year, + recital and costume fee]
If needed, this class may be combined with Intermediate Adult Ballet, or with our Advanced Ballet class from the Technique and Performance progression.

Pointe
Adult dancers with at least two years of previous experience in Teen or Adult Ballet or higher may enroll in the studio's pointe program with instructor approval.
Please note, all pointe dancers are placed in the appropriate class based on ability. This means that an adult just beginning their pointe journey may be in a class with mostly 11 and 12 year old dancers.
