Choreography Workshop:
Students will learn the basics of how to choreograph a solo.  This includes choosing music, analyzing the structure of the music selection, choosing steps, the use of repetition, and using the stage effectively.  Students will have time to choreograph a small portion of pre-selected music.  If time allows, choreography for groups will also be explored.  Students should wear clothes that allow for movement.

This workshop is for students with one or more years of previous dance experience.

Limit 10 dancers per workshop.  2 hours.  $100 / workshop.
Choreography Workshop II:
Students will bring in solos they have choreographed since taking the first workshop.  After a brief review of the basic principles of choreography, students will perform their solos for the group and receive peer and teacher feedback.  They will then have the opportunity to work in pairs to improve their solos.  Students will perform their solos again at the end of the class.  If a ballet mini-session with recital (see below) has been scheduled, students may perform their solos in the recital for no extra cost.  Students should wear clothes that allow for movement.

This option is available for students who have taken Choreography Workshop.
Limit 10 dancers per workshop.  2 hours.  $100 / workshop.
Ballet Mini-Session:
This 10 session course gives students an introduction to a typical ballet class.  Each day will include barre exercises, center work and stretches.  Students will also learn a short dance to put together their new ballet knowledge.  Students should wear clothes that allow for movement but are not baggy.

This opportunity is ideal for students who want to experience the complete ballet experience in a shortened period of time.

Limit 10 students per mini-session.  1 hour per day for 10 sessions.
$500 for first mini-session, $450 for each additional mini-session meeting the same 10 days.
Add a recital (no costumes) on the last day for $75 (no limit on the number of groups involved).

Completing a ballet craft (dance bag, dream flag, or faux stained glass plate) is available for an additional materials fee based on the project chosen and number of guests.

Additional activities are also available to personalize the party to your dancer.

Parental supervision required at all times.  1 hour minimum.  $50 per hour for up to 12 children.  Please add $5 per hour for each additional child.
